Environmental Compliance

Operating Within Established Standards

Desh Energy’s power generation facilities operate under environmental clearances issued by the Department of Environment.
These approvals establish specific requirements for environmental monitoring, waste management, pollution control, safety measures, reporting, and continued regulatory compliance.

Chandpur Power Plant

The 200 MW Desh Energy Chandpur Power Plant operates under an environmental clearance issued for its power generation activities in Chandpur.

Hatiya Power Plant

The 15 MW HFO-fired Desh Energy Hatiya Power Plant operates under an environmental clearance issued for its power generation activities in Hatiya, Noakhali.

Air Quality Monitoring

Air quality parameters such as PM, SOx, NOx, and CO are monitored according to applicable environmental requirements.

Noise Monitoring

Noise levels around plant boundaries and surrounding areas are monitored as part of environmental compliance procedures.

Environmental Reporting

Monitoring results are maintained and submitted to the relevant authorities according to required reporting schedules.

Pollution Control

  • Fire hydrants and firefighting systems

  • Proper maintenance of emergency response infrastructure
